Ten years ago, Houston native, Lydia Evans found herself developing the perfect solution to her eczema: her very own products. What began as a passion and necessity quickly blossomed into an award-winning skin care brand named “12 Coolest Gift for Travelers” and “Best 25 Gifts for Fathers” by FORBES Magazine. Evans earned her B.A. in Advertising/Public Relations from the University of Houston followed by her license in Esthetics from the internationally acclaimed Institute of Cosmetology and Esthetics.

In 2012, Evans was given the prestigious honor of being named one the “Top 25 Women of Houston” as well as the official “Spirit of Business Award” sponsored by Comerica Bank.

In spring 2013, Lydia collaborated with the top cosmetic and laser center in Houston as a highly requested skincare therapist with specialization in advanced treatments. Along with managing her brands, La Bella Dolce and SW&G™ Essentials, Evans provides custom manufacturing of skin and cosmetic products for salons, shops and spas.

Evans serves as a Board Member of I’m Me founded by JJ Simmons, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and mentoring young girls in all areas of life. Evans has great respect for charitable organizations, community involvement and its impact. Her brands have sponsored in partnership with AWTY International, ESCAPE Family Resource Center, Bering Omega House, Houston Food Bank, Keels & Wheels, The ROSE, Texas Women’s Hospital, March of Dimes, St. Jude’s Episcopal Hospital and Twelve Days of Christmas.

Evans has broken barriers in the skin care industry with her immense focus and drive to develop the best skin care with an emphasis in skin sensitivities. SW&G™ Essentials was featured on ABC’s hit show Shark Tank in December 2014, followed up by a post tank update in October 2015. SW&G™ Essentials’ products are slated to hit the big screen with a cameo appearance in the upcoming 2017 movie, “The Dinner” featuring Richard Gere as well as being featured in the 2015 Oscars Celebrity Gift Suite, CNBC, Let’s Make A Deal, BET Music Awards Talent Bags, FOX 26, WB 39 and ABC 13. In October 2015, SW&G™ Essentials was named Mack H Hannah Pinnacle Award recipient by Greater Houston Chamber of Commerce and “Community Hero” by Forever Families Inc. Continually inspired by God’s grace, Lydia supports college students through her internship program that allows students to gain valuable business skills. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her loved ones.
