Octavious Bishop

NFL Aumni, Professor, FCA board member, Coach

Octavious Bishop, holds a BSSW and MSSW from the University of Texas at Austin. He was a four-year letterman and three-year starter on the offensive line. During that time, he was on 3 Conference Championship teams and was the Left Offensive Tackle blocking for Heisman Trophy winner Ricky Williams. He played for the Atlanta Falcons and Oakland Raiders in the NFL, NFL Europe for the Amsterdam Admirals where he was 1st team all NFL Europe, and the Chicago Enforcers while playing in the XFL. He currently works as an Adjunct Associate Professor in Psychology at Austin Community College, a speaker, and a board member of FCA-Central Texas, CIS – Central Texas, and Survive2Thrive, all in the Austin area. Octavious' professional focus is addressing identity foreclosure in both college students and student-athletes. He is currently a PhD-candidate in Psychology. Octavious is also an ordain minister under Global Ministries. He serves as the Men’s pastor at CLC-Austin. In his free time, you can find Octavious making memories with his wife Elizabeth and his three children, Anderson (5), Tatum (daughter 2), and Quinn (daughter 8 weeks this week.)
