Temeika Thomas, M. Ed, is a Financial Services Professional and Lead Ambassador for the African American Market for New York Life Insurance Company. Ms. Thomas graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2006 with a degree in Applied Learning and Development and a Master of Educational Leadership from Lamar University in 2013. She has multiple financial certifications and specializations, as well. In just a few years, Temeika Thomas has received various awards and acknowledgements. In 2014, she received the Community Partner Award from Sigma Gamma Rho Inc. Ms. Thomas is Case Rate Writer of the Year for 2015 for New York Life Insurance Company Austin, which means she has insured more local individuals and families with life insurance than any other agent in the Austin, Killeen, and Waco. Ms. Thomas earned the Rising Star Award from the National Association of Black Accountants in the 2015-2016 membership year. In 2016, Ms. Thomas was promoted to Executive Council Agent in 2016 which is for the top producers in the company. She was also named the New York Life Insurance Company’s Lifetime Income Leader of the Year for 2016. In 2017, Ms. Thomas was named TBE Case Rate Leader of the Year. Ms. Thomas uses her platform as Lead Ambassador for the African American Market to focus on economic empowerment. As a public speaker, she travels all over the country, educating individuals and companies on implementing solutions to bring financial prosperity through life insurance and investments. Ms. Thomas is the Vice President for Division of Firms for the National Association of Black Accountants, an Executive Board Member of Black Women in Business, and a member of the National Association for Insurance Agents and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). She is also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Incorporated and the Greater Austin Black Chamber of Commerce.
